Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. My daughter was home sick for two days and my dog was throwing up the Halloween candy she snuck and ate. Now things are back to normal so I'm back too :)
I HAVE been quite busy with work this week. I have many sessions to post but first I want to tell you how excited I am to have a portrait and promo materials hanging in Lookout Joe on Mt. Lookout Square.
I love places like Lookout Joe. I remember going there when I was young and hip, living in Mt. Lookout! That was back in 1994 when Lookout Joe was just two years old. There are many cool things about the place, one of them being their giant coffee roaster. All of their dozens of coffee offerings are roasted in the store. Since the coffee is made right there, it doesn't go stale!
There is way more than coffee that sets Lookout Joe apart from the other coffee shops in town. They have a VERY non-corporate, laid back, artsy, funky atmosphere and employees. You can get coffee, tea or hot chocolate which will be nice for the upcoming cold winter. They also have frozen drinks made with fresh fruit and coffee based smoothies. Their menu includes lite lunch items such as sandwiches and soups, food for the kids and pastries.
You can eat and drink in the shop at a table or on the SUPER comfy couch. They have newspapers and even games and toys for the kiddies. Free WIFI is available too! Sounds so great, right? I feel like one of those commercials that says, "WAIT, there's more" but that is really how Lookout Joe is! I haven't even mentioned the large outdoor patio!
