Promo Video + Bloopers = YAY!!!

First of all, thanks to everyone for their help on Facebook choosing images for my new blogsite! Your opinions matter to me :) I've put them in their place and they look great! Now, I know I'm teasing you all with these little snippets of things that will comprise my blogsite. You're probably thinking "WHEN ALREADY"????? The answer is 99.9% tomorrow. I have a few tweaks to do tonight but I'm thinking it's debut will be on July 8th. That sounds like a good day to me.

In the meantime, I am super, UBER, ultra excited to show you my promo video. This will give you a look into Big Shots. If you're already a client, it's just fun to watch. Newcomers, potential clients, peeps checkin me out...take a seat and see for yourself what Big Shots is all about. I have to give a HUGE shout out to my favorite videographer, Dan from Poetic Cinema who worked tirelessly to produce this video. He. Is. Awesome. So lucky to work with him. Watch out cause the blooper real at the end is fuuuuuunnnny! (At least we think so!).

It's all about ME!

Days away. I am sooo excited that we are at most days away from me launching my new blogsite! As you know, this is something that's been a long time coming. One last piece of the "puzzle" is figuring out which images to use of me. I figure, if you're going to use me to photograph you, you should know what I look like, right? I mean, if we are supposed to meet somewhere, you should know who you're looking for!
So, here are some of my favorite images from my promo session taken back in early Spring by my wonderful wedding turned promo picture photographer, Geri Ciulla of Ciulla Photography. If you are getting married, look her up and give her a call. She's got mad skills and is just a wonderful person :)

Dan's THE Man!

I know, I've been talking about this blogsite for months and doing these little "teasers" to get you all excited for the big launch. I mean, if you know me at all, you know I don't hide my emotions and the "I can't wait" factor is HUGE for me right now! Are you excited yet? If not, maybe this will do it. These images are of Dan. He is the amazingly talented videographer behind all of the cool video my new blogsite is going to have. I'm not talking about slideshow type stuff. This is real footage. Me talking (OMG, what's better than that), clips from client's sessions and more!

Dan and I came up with a bunch of ideas months ago and they're all coming together bit by bit. I'll be able to show and tell you more once the blogsite is up but a little hint, if you want a "fusion" session with photos and video, we've got it! It's gonna be all the rage!

Dan is super busy as the videographer of his own company, Poetic Cinema. If you are having a wedding or other event, Dan's the man. Just take a look at his work and you'll see why he's so good and why I'm so lucky to have found him to work with me. Not only that, but he's fun, laid back & easy going. We have had a lot of good times together.

This session was one of them. These are some promo shots I did for Dan. He wanted something less "videographery" looking. He brought his son along for the fun so I got them in some shots together. Made for a fun day. Enjoy!

Hello...it's me...

Well...things they are a changin'! I'm about to launch my new blogsite...really! I know I've said it before but there have been a few hold ups that I can say will be well worth the wait! I'm SO SUPER excited about this. Not only because it's cool and really amazing looking and it's going to rock your socks off but because it's going to make YOUR experience so much better. You'll see why and how when it launches.

Until then, enjoy some of the promo images my awesome wedding turned promo photographer, Geri Ciulla, took of me. These were at the end; just for fun. But they are me. I can't deny it. I'm just that girl who likes to make stupid faces while wearing my FAVORITE jean jacket from, like 1990! More to come soon...

To celebrate Spring and the beautiful blooms, I thought today would be the perfect day to announce my upcoming Spring Quick Shots mini sessions! Of course, it's a bit dreary out there right now but "April showers bring May flowers"!  Quick Shots will be at the beautiful Ault Park in Cincinnati, OH on May 17th.

Ault Park is amazingly beautiful, relaxing, and a gardener's dream! I'm excited about flowers and trees with blooms all over, gazebos with vines and benches & bright green grass! That paired with my fun new colorful props and your child’s hippest spring clothes; this will be the perfect setting for the perfect images! I absolutely can’t wait!  Some of my favorite pics I've taken have come from Ault Park.  Just browse my site and blog for samples.  

I am also taking full sessions at Ault Park and other beautiful spots around the Cincinnati area. . If you would prefer a full session with your family at this beautiful time of the year, please just let me know and we’ll get something set up. There are only a few sessions left in May!

Mini Session Shots

Ok, I know I said the contest would begin this week but there are SO many great images to go through and post! It's going to take longer than I thought so I'm planning for early NEXT week.

So, in the meantime I want to share a collage of some girls I photographed for a mini-session out in the Beechmont area. It was fun, easy and quick.

It's Party Time!

Are you ready to PAR-TEY? Hope so because I'm offering portrait party sessions. A portrait party is a great way for you earn free prints and have friends and family over for a Professional Photo Shoot in your home.

I've been having a lot of people emailing and calling me because they feel overwhelmed trying to organize their family's photo session and they're all stressed because all of their friends and family are coming in a certain weekend or they want to take family portraits but don't want to spend a ton of money. This is definitely one solution to both of those problems.

A portrait party is kinda' like having a Tupperware party without the Tupperware! It is hard work trying to organize a bunch of people to go to a studio together. A Portrait Party takes all of the stress out of that because it's in your home and people come to you. I set up my lights in a pre-determined area of your home and we shoot. The host gets a more customized photo session before the party begins!

Portrait Parties are especially great this time of the year with Halloween and the holidays approaching. Whatever the occassion, we can throw a party!

The host of the party receives a free 8x10, 2 free 5x7's and a sheet of wallets just for hosting the party. The host may earn more prints/products based on the sales at the party.

Session fees for portrait parties are $25 per family/group. That's 75% off the usual session fee.

Holiday Cards

I'm so excited! I know so many of you have been asking about my holiday cards for this year. WELL...here they are. The images I've posted serve as examples of the style and layout of the cards. They are TOTALLY customizable. The wording, colors, etc. can all be tailored to you and your family. They are super high quality press-printed cards which mean they are printed on card stock NOT photo paper. You will be super impressed with the look and feel of these cards. There is also a blank card (not shown) that is more simple if you don't want a design.

Another great thing about these cards are the price. Many photographers charge up to $3.00 per card. I just don't think that's fair or even necessary! I wouldn't spend that on my own family! These cards start at $1.25 each in sets of 24. That's 24 cards for $30! If you have already had your photos taken, choose the card you want and shoot me an email or give me a call. If you have an upcoming session, take a look and start deciding which card you like.

Families in the Fall Blog Special

It's that time of the year again. I can't believe the holidays are approaching and people are calling for their family pictures. I am so lucky to have many loyal clients who have used me as their photographer throughout the years. I have been able to watch kids grow and families change as children are born or go off to college. There are a lot of great things about my job but seeing the same faces over and over again is definitely at the top of my list.

Of course, I have room for new clients who would like to experience Big Shots Photography. I am running a special right now of 1/2 off a Family Session and 25 Free Holiday cards.
